I am going to list a bunch of negatives, know that i do not do this because I dislike what you made, but because I would like to see where it could go.
The sound is a bit grating, a deeper or less singular sound may be better.
It may be good if coin movement, collection and amount had different sounds. At high magnet levels, the sources may need to "bunch" into premade multi-coin SFX.
The upgrades are too steep between buy-cycles to have any thought to them, you either get them or you dont, there is no decision aside from that.
The prior problem means I cannot really experiment with big collection radii, strong magnets and then respec, there is just having the upgrades and not having them.
The way the upgrades are laid out also at first implies related upgrades will be in each branch, but they scatter more randomly. This made me believe that a bunch of upgrades would only apply to the auto-collecter for a while.
This could easily have an infinite mode by hue-shifting coins.
really cute and fun gameplay loop! very short (10-20 mins) but well put together. id love to play a longer version with more coin layers and a larger skill tree
randomly pretty fun, always interesting what adding a simple upgrade tree can do for otherwise simply gameplay (and thats a not a bad thing) had fun clearing the table, game feel was good, sound effects were a bit repetitive especially once you powered up but the power fantasy was real for sure.
Maybe it is a time constraint thing but I felt like the upgrades were kind of arbitrary, or rather it was missing that 'one more thing' in terms of tension or challenge that would turn it into a more roguelite / deck builder experience. Maybe thats not the fantasy of incremental games as it just moves in one direction -> upgrade and do the action better. Like for instance i saved up for the magnet early on but it barely made a difference and probably slowed down my whole rune. Anwyas not a game I would have every thought of! Very creative and I enjoyed my time with it.
This game is super awesome! I had a blast playing it. It'd be cool if it showed your time when you beat the game, I wonder how long it took for me to beat it?
